Words create self-fulfilling prophecies. Do you SAY WHAT YOU MEAN and MEAN WHAT YOU SAY?

You are dying to do what?

You would give your right arm for who?

You would kill for it?

I am so broke! (as in broken?)

Oh! My! God! You are so busted!

These are just some of the ill-used expressions that I hear far to often. Even if you did not mean it literally, you did mean to say it and YOU SAID IT!

I suggest that you start listening to what you are saying. Better still, monitor your everyday vocabulary and just see how many negative or inappropriate words that you use to express yourself. You may be in for a shock! Do not clean up your act or your mouth when you do. This is  “to-tell-the-truth” time. Let it flow/go as you usually do. You may discover that even when you think that you are being positive, you ain’t.

To name a few negative words for you.  “Maybe” (which of course, means “NO”)…”I’m trying” (not DOING)…”wanting” (not HAVING)…”we’ll see” (oh no you WON’T)…and of course, “hopefully” (OH! YE OF LITTLE FAITH!).

Much to my horror, I have actually heard all these words used in ONE sentence. Well…hopefully,  we’ll see, maybe one day, I’m trying, I’d die for it? Negative! Negative! Negative! What makes these words negative? They lack faith, are weak and have built-in failure. Replace them with “definitely”…”I am”…”I will”…”it is”…etc. Get it?

Feel the difference emotionally. You will stand taller, straighter, express confidence and even look/feel better!!!! Be aware of the power of words and how to use them effectively and to your advantage. The words you use CREATE YOUR LIFE, reflect on your character, and reveal who you really ARE!

Be sure that they are not bitter or mean, for you may have to eat them tomorrow.

Besides you NEVER KNOW who is listening. It could be ME!  (but it should be YOU!)

Love and Blessings,

Hi, I find myself saying these words/phrases often, and yes, I’ve been corrected as well (by you, of course!) and it is now time that I listen first, before I speak, and my phrases will be cleaned up immediately! Thanks yoga-guru!
